Spring has sprung, but have you? If not, you or your relationship may need a spring cleaning. Look around, the sun is shining, birds are chirping and yes, bees are buzzing. You may see more people out and about, couples holding hands, and singles wearing less…to impress.
As we start to put away sweaters and coats…perhaps organize our messy closet and venture to find the many beach accessories we will surely need; I wonder do people spring clean their selves or their relationships too? Well, maybe they should…we all should.
Now is the time (unless you have done so already) to let go of the old, past relationships and work on yourself. Invest time in getting to know, who you are, what you want for the future, and if that involves another person. Once that is settled- go OUT! Get your girls or guys and hit up the patio bar, sing some bad karaoke and make new friends. Try not to go looking for “the one”…go out and look for FUN!
If you’re lucky, you’ll meet some great people, and maybe make some love…or sex…connections. Remember, if you just want to date, be upfront, and if you’re really looking for something serious, then be honest about that too.
Now, if you’re in a relationship and you have addressed all the above questions, focus on the future of that relationship in order to have a stronger connection with your partner and some new found loving and love-making. Forget about old arguments (who was right and who was wrong); take the time to compliment your partner at least once a day; and you can never say, I love you too much (well at least not if they love you back). Now, that those good habits are established…be corny- you love them, they love you…be corny together. Create some funny video blogs in bed (be careful of the rating- keep it PG-13, if your friends are going to see it), bake cookies together…eat them together; indulge in a new activity outside (biking or swimming) and do that thing you always wanted to try but were afraid too. Bondage anyone?!
Spring is the time for love, whether you are in a committed relationship, single, or dating. Make the most of it by living, loving and of course, giving. Until next time, Remix fans, THE GOOD, THE BETTER, AND THE BEST STILL TO COME! Peace and Harmony! Charla B.
